Privacy policy
DataLicensingAudit.com collects personal information only when you submit our introduction form. The calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing. We share your details with Mode only if you tick the consent box, we do not sell personal information, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by email.
Using the calculator
The estimate calculator runs entirely in your browser. The industry and headcount you enter are not sent to us or anyone else unless you go on to submit the introduction form.
What the introduction form collects
If you ask for an introduction, the form collects:
- Your full name, work email, company website and, if you choose to give it, your phone number
- Your industry, your company's full-time office headcount and your role
- The calculator estimate shown to you
- Your consent choice and the time you submitted the form
- Campaign and page details: UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) from the link you arrived on, the site that referred you, and the page you submitted the form from
To keep those campaign details while you move between pages, the site stores them in your browser's session storage, which clears when you close the tab. We don't set cookies.
We use this information to handle your request, to introduce you to Mode if you consent, to follow up with you about the program and to track whether an introduction leads to a referral.
Where the form data goes
The form sends your submission to our self-hosted automation server at n8n.pfsend.com. That server records the request and notifies us. Like most web servers, it may log your IP address.
When we share your details with Mode
The form includes a consent checkbox that reads: "I agree to be contacted about this program; DataLicensingAudit.com may share my details with Mode." We share your details with Mode only if you tick that box. Once Mode has your details, Mode's own privacy policy governs how Mode uses them.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Hosting, cookies and analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes requests to deliver the site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We may use Plausible Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal data.
Some guides embed YouTube videos. Until you press play, only the video's preview image loads, from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com). When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com and Google's privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records while we handle your request and track any resulting referral. We then delete them within 3 years of our last contact with you.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct it, or
- delete it.
Email hello@datalicensingaudit.com, ideally from the address you used on the form so we can match your request to your record. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your record with us does not delete information Mode already holds; to remove that, contact Mode under its privacy policy.
You do not have to submit the form to use the site, the guides or the calculator.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its "updated" date.
